It’s been one year since the signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. Today, women still earn, on average, only 77 cents for every dollar earned by men. We are fighting for the passage of the Paycheck Fairness Act, the essential companion legislation to the Ledbetter Act. It’s passed the House, but remains stalled in the Senate. Please urge your Senators to quickly pass the Paycheck Fairness Act.

The Senate passed an omnibus spending bill, approved days earlier by the House of Representatives, increasing by 25 percent the Department of Justice's funding to assist survivors of human trafficking!  The report accompanying the bill specifies that, for the first time, this funding will be available to serve all trafficking survivors in the United States, whether they are foreign nationals or U.S. citizens.   Now, the spending bill awaits President Obama's signature.  Click here for more details and information on whom to thank in Congress!
