"ALL ABOUT PR - Traditional Media, Social Media, Blogs..."
Shelly Gordon

Come and join us for an exciting discussion on:

-   Why PR is not free advertising.

-        Traditional media, [and some social media, including blogs and Twitter], cover timely, compelling stories.  Do you have a personal or business story that you think is media-worthy?  Bring it to the WEN luncheon.

-        Media stories can also be in the form of useful/educational information; how to’s; expert advice; lessons learned.  What are you an expert in that you think would be valuable to readers, viewers, listeners?

-        If you have a Bay Area/South Bay event you’d like to promote what are your options these days?

-        Why do you think social media is useful for promoting your business?  What is the reality?

Shelly Gordon, principal of G2 Communications, helps small and mid-sized companies maximize their PR efforts and compete successfully with larger players.

With some two decades of PR experience, Shelly has a sixth sense for zeroing in on the stories and news nuggets that get clients media coverage to set them apart from the competition, build credibility and influence their targeted audiences to take action.

For the past 20-plus years, Gordon has been spreading the word for a broad range of clients in numerous markets: health care, legal, philanthropic, high tech and environmental. Her penchant for storytelling, her innate ability to connect with the media, her dedication to clients and her track record of success for her clients is a story in itself.

Wednesday, July 27 from 12:00-1:30 p.m.
