Donate directly to the Cardea Center for Women:
Dirty Girls of Lesvos Island: The Dirty Girls launder the clothing of refugees who have crossed the Aegean Sea in overcrowded, inadequate boats and launder blankets and sleeping bags from refugee camps. Reuse has saved over 60 tons of material from landfill and resupplied camps with critically needed items. Donate to Dirty Girls: Book Drive for Women and Youth in Prison: The Book Drive provides books and other reading materials for women inmates in state prison and county jails, children of incarcerated parents and youth in juvenile detention. Donate to the Book Drive: Sharing What We Have: Sharing What We Have provides clothing, hygiene supplies and survival essentials to women and families in California through shelters and direct outreach and provides strollers, diapers, emergency food, school and hygiene supplies to refugee families in Greece. Donate to Sharing What We Have: Filoxenia International: An interdisciplinary team of experienced humanitarian activists providing front line aid to refugee families in Greece and across Europe.
Direct Aid Project: Filling critical gaps in support for the most vulnerable refugees and their families who have fled war in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Guided by a former refugee camp manager, all donations go directly to provide food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and emergency response, prioritized by need. Donate to Diane's Direct Aid Project.
